Architectural Designers
KieranTimberlake is currently seeking Architectural Designers to join our office. Comprised of over 100 professionals of diverse backgrounds and abilities, our practice is recognized worldwide. With equal emphasis on research, communications, and the built environment, our projects include the programming, planning, and design of new structures as well as the transformation of existing buildings. We have special expertise in education, government, arts and culture, civic, and residential projects, but common to all our work is the principle that each project begins with a question and continues its development within a culture of inquiry. By ensuring that design results from deep investigation into site, program, climate, ecology, resources, and environment, our interdisciplinary process inspires creativity and fosters a culture of sharing ideas, knowledge, and technique. The end result is artfully integrated, high quality structures that serve our clients' needs and push the practice of architecture forward.
Qualifications
Architectural Designers should be a creative, curious, and self-motivated individual who can work effectively toward deadlines. He or she will be a part of a dynamic, innovative, research-based design process and will collaborate with fellow team members to develop original and meaningful design solutions. Qualifications include:
- A professional degree in architecture
- Strong modeling, graphic design, and communication skills
- Comfort with multivariant design concepts
- Capacity to ask smart questions, draw out insight, and synthesize ideas
- Ability to navigate new and challenging situations
- Penchant for research, data, and objective analysis
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, and Rhino
While not required, additional consideration will be given to individuals with experience using:
- Grasshopper, Dynamo, and 3D Studio Max
- Python and other programming languages, including those used in web applications
- Digital fabrication, mock-ups, and prototypes of materials and assemblies
