Jason Smith has been with KieranTimberlake for over fifteen years. He served a vital role in the genesis of the firm's research initiatives, and continues to shape firm culture by overseeing the selection of new architects. His interests focus on integrated project networks, translational currents in design, and the relationship between education and practice.
He is currently responsible for the Brockman Hall for Physics at Rice University in Houston, TX, the Quaker Meeting and Arts Center at Sidwell Friends School in Washington DC, and several off-site fabricated housing initiatives with the Santa Monica, CA based developer LivingHomes.
Jason served as Associate-in-Charge of the Houghton Memorial Chapel and Multifaith Center at Wellesley College, the Student Residential Initiative at Johns Hopkins University, the competition for the Learning and Knowledge Center at Stanford University, and the Car Shops at the B&O Railroad Museum. He was Project Manager for Atwater Commons at Middlebury College, the Bennett Family Center at The Pennsylvania State University, and the Lower School Science Laboratories at Wilmington Friends School.
Jason received a Bachelor of Architecture, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, with distinction, from The Pennsylvania State University in 1994. He joined KieranTimberlake in 1995, assumed the role of Associate in 2005 and Senior Associate in 2008. He is a registered architect in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a LEED accredited professional.
