Joanne Aitken has been with KieranTimberlake since 2004. She has over twenty years of experience in architectural practice and is a dedicated educator and advocate for the built environment. She has been on the architectural faculty at Drexel University since 1990, is active with the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, having served as its 1999 Chapter president, and is currently the Chair of the Steering Committee for the Design Advocacy Group (DAG) of Philadelphia.
Joanne is currently the Associate-in-Charge of the Revelle College Apartments at the University of California at San Diego and the Rodeph Shalom Synagogue Renovation and Early Learning Center.
Joanne was Associate-in-Charge of the renovation of, Silliman College, Yale University's largest undergraduate residential college, the Sage Bowers Hall Programming Study for Yale University, and a Feasibility Study for the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
Joanne received a Bachelor of Arts from St. John's College, cum laude, in 1968 and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University, with distinction, in 1982. She assumed the role of Associate in 2006, and Senior Associate in 2008. She is a registered architect in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is a LEED accredited professional.
